The Accounting Methodology Centre does applied scientific and analytical research into the issues relating to financial accounting in the public management sector, participates in the introduction of the federal accounting standards for the public sector, makes recommendations on the application of the federal standards methodology by the reporting entities as well as provides the interdepartmental task forces established on the basis of the Russian Federation Ministry of Finance with methodological support.
The objective of R&D carried out by the Accounting Methodology Centre is to develop the methodology of financial accounting aimed at improving the unified state accounting policy in public finance.
